AETT
English

Write in your language.
Send in theirs.

AETT (Automatic Email Translation Tool) is a Chrome extension for Gmail. Check "Translate" next to the Send button, and your email is translated into any of 195 languages before it goes out.

Add to Chrome (free trial: 2,500 characters)

Sign in with your Google account to use it.

How it works

  1. 1Write an email in Gmail as usual
  2. 2Check "Translate" next to Send and choose a language
  3. 3Send it — your recipient gets the translated email

AETT remembers the language you used for each recipient, so next time it's already set. You can also review and edit the translation before sending (turn it on in settings).

FAQ

Is my email content stored?

No. Your text is sent to Google Cloud Translation only to translate it, and the result is returned. Google doesn't use it to train its translation models. See the Privacy Policy.

Which browsers are supported?

Google Chrome on desktop, with Gmail (mail.google.com).

Are translations accurate?

Translations are produced by machine using Google Translate and may contain errors. For important emails, we recommend reviewing the translation before sending.

How do I change my plan?

Open the AETT icon in the toolbar and click "Switch to this plan" on the plan you want. A confirmation page opens.

How do I cancel?

Open the AETT icon in the toolbar and click "Cancel plan". Cancellation takes effect on your next renewal date, and you keep your current plan until then. No prorated refunds are given. Until the renewal date, you can undo it with "Keep my plan".
