Terms of Service
Last updated: October 16, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Chrome extension "AETT - Automatic Email Translation Tool" (the "Service") provided by 本名蒼涼 ("we"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If this version differs from the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.
1. The Service
The Service machine-translates the subject and body of emails you write in Gmail when you send them, using Google Cloud Translation.
2. Account
You need to sign in with a Google account to use the Service. You are responsible for your account.
3. Pricing and payment
- The free trial can be used once per Google account, up to 2,500 characters.
- Paid plan prices and character limits are as shown on our website and in the extension. Applicable taxes are added at checkout.
- Paid plans renew automatically every month and are billed through Stripe (Stripe Managed Payments).
- Unused characters do not carry over to the next month.
- Switching to a higher-priced plan takes effect immediately: a new one-month period starts at the time of the change, and the full monthly price of the new plan is charged. Unused time on the previous plan is not refunded or credited.
- Switching to a lower-priced plan takes effect on the next renewal date. Until then, you can continue to use your current plan.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel a paid plan at any time. You can keep using it until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide prorated refunds, except where required by law or by our payment provider's rules.
5. Translation quality and your responsibility
- Translations are produced by machine and are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete.
- You are responsible for reviewing what you send. For important emails, we recommend using the review-before-sending option.
- The Service uses Google's translation technology, and the following disclaimer from Google applies.
THIS SERVICE MAY CONTAIN TRANSLATIONS POWERED BY GOOGLE. GOOGLE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES RELATED TO THE TRANSLATIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
6. Prohibited use
- Sending or translating content that is illegal or offensive to public order
- Unauthorized access to, or placing excessive load on, our servers
- Copying, modifying, reverse-engineering, or repurposing the Service
- Repeatedly abusing the free trial
7. Changes and suspension
We may change or suspend all or part of the Service due to changes in Gmail or Google, maintenance, or other unavoidable reasons.
8. Limitation of liability
Except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the Service. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the most recent month.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as needed. Updated Terms take effect when posted on this page.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The district court having jurisdiction over our location shall be the exclusive court of first instance for any dispute.
